If you like it, don’t forget to pay the shareware fee! EV Nova is the third game in the Escape Velocity series, and is by far the most ambitious installment to date. With a completely redesigned gaming engine, EV Nova thrusts you into a sprawling universe dominated by a myriad of warring factions, each sharing a common bond, but so philosophically different as to make conflict inevitable. Requirements: G3 or faster Mac, Mac OS X 10.2 or later
One of our absolute favorite “useless” programs. This fun little app sticks a pair of eyeballs into your OS X menubar—or anywhere on your desktop—that follow whatever you do (or at least where your cursor goes). This latest version now supports skins, which allow you to totally change Eyeballs appearance—imagine a green monster or a cobweb full of eyeballs watching your every move. You can also change the color of the eyes, the shape of the pupils, and their behavior via a preference pane. Here’s looking at you, kid.
Requirements: Mac OS 10.2, PowerPC G3/G4 800 Mhz, 256 Mb RAM, Hardware accelerated 3D Graphics Card with 32 Mb VRAM, QuickTime 6

You love him. Admit it. And now he’s Carbonized! Experience the mesmerizingly dulcet crooning of your Atonal Amigo, Jared. If you miss the old Jared, you can still see him in his old, aliased state. Truly a classic!
Anyone familiar with the classic asteroids arcade game will feel right at home with this one. A classic in its own right, Maelstrom is one of Ambrosia’s flagship games that put the company in a league of its own. Pilot your spaceship through an asteroid field and exercise your trigger finger as you blast away those pesky rocks. Watch out for all the space debris hurling its way towards you and remember to put up your shields when the going gets really tough. Now Mac OS X compatible!

You'll also find lots of goodies and surprises in each level! Complete each level by getting the Wheezil balloon to the top, popularly known as popping the Wheezil.
SimStapler enables the user to "staple" virtually anything he or she can dream up. SimStapler allows you to pretend that you are stapling two, three or even four pieces of paper together! But fake-stapling paper is just the beginning with SimStapler. You can staple Magic: The Gathering cards to Steve Jobs' turtleneck, or the Emancipation Proclamation to a 1987 headshot of William Conrad in Jake & The Fatman. Your stapling will only be limited by your powers of imagination! SimStapler is Theftware. Regular users of the program are asked to misappropriate office supplies from work and send them to Freeverse. As pure theftware SimStapler includes no copy protection or crippled features, it relies solely on the honor system.

Solarian II was one of the first color games for the new color Macs that came out in 1988. It ran happily for years, but Mac OS X broke it — it never ran well under Classic. It has been ported it to Mac OS X and is now a native Cocoa application, and should be good to go for another 15 years.
